I must be getting old, but the GARM is full of accounting mumbo-jumbo instead of information about the new players.

Am I the only one who can't follow what the Rockets are trying to do this summer? Are we trading for money in Les' pocket, or are we building a starting five? And why do I feel like we have an excess of d-league stars on our roster?

Honestly, the easiest and most accurate way to keep up with the Rockets without reading and deciphering everything here is to just focus on the Daryl Morey talk show threads...there's a recent one from 790. And any clutchfans.net articles that Clutch posts.

Also, we'll know a lot more in a week, so patience is required.

This reminds me: during the lockout Dallas Thomas (I think) created a lockout news thread in NBA Dish for only posting news/tweets/etc....and no debating. The idea was create a one-stop shopping news thread for those who can't follow all the other threads...especially since people are going on vacation throughout the summer.

I'm not sure if that would work in the GARM, but might be useful.

thoughts...hell, we could turn this thread into such a "Dumb it down" synopsis thread.

Yeah, right now I feel like you do. Sports was much more enjoyable when you had players to root for. In the Morey system, we're excited because we signed some dude who gets great advanced stats for a bargain-bin price ... in order to shop that asset somewhere else later. Potentially.

Meanwhile I've learned that according to Morey, the entire league apparently undervalues undersized power forwards.

And I don't know if the guys on my team are guys I should root for or guys who'll be traded later for an even better asset.
