I understand that a deal has been offered to get Brooks from the Nets for a pick. I didn't hear what team it was, but i was thinking that the Rockets should jump in and offer a sign and trade deal with Camby(or maybe a young player) and a pick going over to the Nets for Marshon Brooks. Sorry for the thread, but i think this point needs to be discussed. Marshon and Lamb would give us a definite threat at the two. This also means that we have to find a way to trade Martin. Maybe for more picks?
    Is this even possible??

As much as I wanna see Lamb get PT, I wouldn't mind this at all. Marshon is a flat out scorer. One can hope we can get more draft picks for Kmart.

I like his game, but hopefully it won't cost us a pick.

The Rockets got Lamb who's got the potential to be good on both ends of the court. Plus it's too soon for another Nets draft reject who gets surly over playing time/being benched.

I don't really wan't to do anything to facilitate the building of another super team .

If Dwight Howard goes to Brooklyn, nine of the 12 members of the 2008 Olympic team will play in New York, LA, or Miami.

and this after the new collective bargaining agreement was supposed to help level the playing field for small market teams by deincentivizing player movement in free agency.

The new CBA was not meant to deincentivize player movement. I was meant to punish players who choose to walk away from teams owning their bird rights and putting a harsh luxury tax in effect.

You can't stop free agents from going where want but they will lose money doing it. In 3 years all these star team will meet a hard cap they can't dodge.

What we need now is scoring to hasten our rebuilding and Marshon gives you that. We could just keep Martin, but i'm not sure he still wants to be here.

    Brooks Sucks

The Rockets can't offord any more one dimmesional players. Marshon is just another Kevin Martin. He can't play D.

We aren't expecting Lamb to start anytime soon. Seeing as this is Brooks' 2nd season, there will still be a lot of playing time for Lamb to develop. Thats if he doesn't pull a Morris.

Just going up on ESPN. Clippers will be 4th team in D Howard deal. They would take back MarShon Brooks in return for a lottery protected 1st
