Interesting, Ive always seen Lopez as poor mans Joekim Noah.

To me Leonard has the potential to be a stronger Pau Gasol with more potential defensively.

At this point it's a guessing game. Let's just say he has all the physical tools to be a dominant center if he develops right. 7'1 guy with good athleticsm, footwork, okay playmaking and ball-iq, jumper lookin okay right now... Could really become a solid starting C in this league and effect the court on both ends.

I don't know where you got the idea that everybody on this board was d%*k riding Leonard. I certainly don't see anyone that thinks that he has star potential. We're picking in the teens and we're in need of size. Leonard could meet a need in a current NBA landscape where there are 2 maybe three good centers. If he can rebound decently and learn to defend the paint he's worth a look, even if his ceiling is somewhere around Robin Lopez he's worth a look. I would rather have that than McHale playing Scola at center during pivotal points in the game.

Evaluating raw big men without off the charts athleticism and size is definitely not my forte. I just sit and read the posts with interest.

The difference is that Davis has instincts, he used to be a guard before he took a lot of HGH *COUGH* *COUGH* shot up 6 inches his senior year of HS. Henson doesn't have those instincts, he's not a natural ballplayer, so he's going to have to make up for it with his length and athleticism. Anthony Davis + Bulk = Perennial All-star. John Henson + Bulk = Adonal Foyle.

For Leonard I think Nicola Vujevic is a good comparison. Look at their draft stocks this year and last. Very similar in progression.
