Mis-interpretation or not. Having a GREAT season, if only just one, means you are definitely not a bust.

You seriously believe this? smh. Not having perfect circumstances wasn't the problem. Having a high vertical without any skills doesn't get a player very far in the NBA when they are also lazy and not bright. TT was a hopeless case.

    Rodney McCray

Like the third pick in the draft. Never learned how to shoot.

    Both drafted 2nd
    Both have wide eyes
    Both can barely speak English

Amazing the number of similarities between these two.

Both played in Houston and Memphis. Although one of the two can't do this.

Kenyon has seriously narrow shoulders and horrid footwork. I never was a fan.

As for my bust list, Chris Jackson and Dejuan Wagner. Both exited for different non-playing reasons, but still didn't accomplish what they could've.

Definitely wasn't a superstar but he did have a servicable NBA career. To me the definition of a bust would be John Lucas.

That 2001 draft was full of promise that busted, especially big men:

Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry, DeSagana Diop, Eddie Griffin, Rodney White

I remember Jason Richardson being dubbed a perennial all-star coming out that year too. Interesting that 4 of the top players in the draft were taken after 19 (Randolph, G.Wallace, T.Parker, Arenas).

Good call on Dajuan Wagner two -- I remember hearing Allen Iverson v2.0 about him.

Well so far and there is still time for this to change (as I hope it does) Marcus Morris seems to fit this role. :\

I was so pumped about what Eddie Griffin could have brought to the table, I named my handle after him halfway through his rookie year.

Of the ones mentioned in OP, I really thought Morrison would at least be serviceable. A starter....maybe not an All Star, but at least a starter.

    Sebastian Telfair

Rashard Lewis: I know he had a few decent seasons but I thought his ceiling was much higher.

    Stromile Swift

    Jay Williams(Duke)

    DeJuan Wagner

Smh Tracy McGrady, I wouldnt call him a bust but ive never seen a player with more natural talent outside of LBJ. He had injuries, bad luck, bad timing, also a questionable work ethic. It sucks to watch a guy with his talent fall so far so fast. Hard to believe he was arguably the best player in the league for a few years.

he absolutely outpeformed his draft spot.

he's also quite the regular at the Rajin Cajun on Gessner @ Westheimer during the offseason :)
