Texans looking to trade Jacoby Jones

    They'd trade Jocoby for nothing just to move that guaranteed money out.

    three but should have thrown five. You know who threw two but really should have thrown four against that defense just a week later? Give the ravens Defensive backfield some credit. They turned it up even more in the playoffs.
    If Jacoby doesn't fumble, it would have led for a more conservative game plan, instead of going for a 3o yard heap to aj it would have been a field goal. knowing the gods, rackers probably misses it but still, that fumble changed everything.

    Oddly in a hard salary cap system, trading a player for nothing but salary cap space should be considered a fair trade if the player is worth his contract. Granted, guaranteed money messes this up, generally.

    Trading a player for a draft pick is usually a win to the team that gets a draft pick. Teams that want to win, trade veterans for draft picks and then use cap space to sign a veteran FA that is just as good. For the Texans, they traded Demeco Ryans, but were able to re-sign Arian Foster, swap thirds, and got a fourth.

    Trading draft picks for players is incredibly stupid. Yes, there are exceptions to this rule...those exceptions are generally called quarterbacks.

    I think it's funny that the Texans actually thought that another team would be willing to give up anything for Jacoby. Well I guess there is no harm in trying.

    were 3 picks, not 4, and the jacoby jones fumble cost 7 pts and the momentum of the game.
