I'm not super big on dirty jokes, but it was funny being in the Texans bathroom when a bill fan got in line. Talk about getting harassed in a funny way.

Before this goes anywhere, I was joking.

I know it wouldn't be wrong for me to do those things. ;) :D

Jeff doesn't like the Titans either. He makes exceptions.

I like the Titans, and hope they win the Super Bowl this year.

I think the organization is a classy one. Jeff Fisher, Carl Reese, Eddie George, Steve McNair.

    The team is just class.

The owner WANTED to stay in Houston, the Mayor of Houston ran him out of town. Yes, he asked for a new stadium and Drayton and Lanier told him..that the Astrodome was a GREAT place to watch a football game.

Then Bud gets an offer he can't refuse from Tennessee, and he takes it.

One year later, Drayton is crying for a new stadium and then a couple of years after that, the city BUILDS a new stadium for 3x the money that Bud needed to build his stadium.

    Great politics....

People forget that before Bud Adams the city of Houston had ZERO professional sports teams....ZERO !!

Bud gets way to much criticism and not enough credit.

    GO TITANS !!!!

    DaDakota,

Read Loser Takes All. Hopefully you're opinion of Adams will change. The fat b*stard had been threatening to move the team since the late 1960s. Every time he got the concessions he demanded, he'd just do it all over again for more things. Do you recall him saying that if they took out the beloved scoreboard for more seats, he wouldn't move the team? Well, they did that, and guess what? He moved the team.

    Houston had enough.

From the title, sounds like a totally unbiased book.

    RM95,

I know all that, and he was right EVERY time in asking for upgrades to that dump of a stadium.

Yes, Houston decided to call his bluff, and he left.

It is a sad day when people can not overlook their differences and look at what is really good for the city of Houston.

I mean, it was an amazing Super Bowl when the Titans almost won on the last play, and they could win it all this year.

Tennessee fans have not had to suffer through the 1-13 years or the Bill Peterson coaching years...they did not have to suffer through the Buffalo collapse, the collapse in the 2nd half against the chiefs....

Nope, they have not EARNED this team, we have, and thus it is still my team.

Bud got criticized a lot, but in reality, if you take a step back, he spent a lot of money trying to win....I am sure that McNair will do it too, but watch what happens in 20 years when he wants a new stadium too.

3X the money was a bargain to run that piece of crap out of town. Too bad we couldn't have spent a little more to send the few remaining fans with him.

I can't imagine how anyone would be OK with the tactics that Bud used to get what he wanted. Scratch that, I can. What I don't understand is how people can criticize the city when they finally said ENOUGH.

TheFreak, have you read the book?

Nope, haven't read it. Never particularly cared for Ed Fowler and have no use for a biased account of the situation.

I love it when people have opinions about something without even knowing anything about it.

    "I hate TheFreak's music."

    "Have you heard it."

"No, but I know I won't like it."

    Pole, I'll start a fund.

I know Fowler doesn't like Bud Adams. Do you dispute that? I know the book's title. Also remember reading about it back when it came out. Are you saying Fowler's book is meant to be an objective look at the situation? If so, I might consider it, but I don't know that it's a subject that interests me that much either way.

I have no idea if he meant it to be objective or not. However, unless you are saying he made them up, facts are facts.
