    I've walked into a bench once texting while walking, tripped (but not fall) over elevation in pavement that I know is there but not focusing on my surroundings.

    I find this kind of behavior unbearable. If you need to text someone, stop walking for 5 seconds and text them.

    Exactly. Whenever I'm out walking and I hear a text coming in, I pull over and stand on the side and text back.

    This is WORSE. I'm walking 5ft behind someone in a building, gym, mall, or other confined space then they come to a dead stop forcing me to swerve out of their way and into oncoming pedestrians, or come to a complete halt myself? That's ridiculous. Next time I'm trucking one of those mother ****ers.

    Walk and text, fall down a crater, whatever, I don't care, just don't make it my problem.
