    Here is my dilemma:

I have a desktop computer w/ two DVI outputs on the graphics card, running 2 older analog VGA monitors. I want to run my new TV off the 2nd DVI port from time to time for Bluray movies and other stuff on that computer. My initial thought was to get a DVI switch where I can easily switch the 2nd signal between the 2nd VGA monitor and the TV as needed. Unfortunately, I have searched the net high and low and although I have found multiple passive DVI switches, they only pass digital signals only (no analog).

Aside from getting a 2nd digital capable LCD computer screen that will work with the passive switches that I have found, does anyone that has some good AV knowledge on here have any recommendations for what I want to accomplish?

    TIA

have you tried to run the 2nd DVI/VGA output straight to your TV and go into your Graphics Card settings and choose dual screen mode. When ever you want to watch a movie from your comp switch your TV to RGB-PC mode and drag the video window to your TV screen. There are also DVI to HDTV connections out there on Amazon.

    DS,

The problem is not getting the signal from my GPU to the TV or the GPU to the 2nd monitor or getting two outputs to work simultaneously. I can get the GPU to do an extended display to VGA1 and the TV or to VGA1 and VGA2. I want to be able to easily switch back and forth between the TV and VGA2 w/o having to plug/unplug cables.
