    I understand that point of view. But when you can't acknowledge mistakes, even obvious ones, you're going to have a hard time getting anybody to see your side. The fact that this story was likely wrong and that the complaints you and others had about it probably didn't apply doesn't mean that your overall feelings on the subject are wrong. It just means that they don't apply to this case the way it seemed they did. Acknowledging that first, and then moving on to the larger issue will get a lot better (and open-minded) response.

    So the story was a libertarian witch hunt? Shocking.

    There's a difference between good government and bad government. Good regulation and bad regulation. People who run around claiming otherwise look like damned fools and are rightly treated as such.
