Video Gamers Alert: G4 Channel Coming to Time Warner Cable

Austin TX, 11/20/02 --Time Warner Cable has great news for Central Texas video gamers! On December 30, video, online, and computer gamers can watch G4 on Digital channel 238.

G4 is a new channel totally devoted to all things gaming, from the newest video, online, and computer game titles to tips, hidden secrets, and even cheats to the hottest games.

“We’re very excited to launch G4 to all our customers, especially the thousands of gaming fans throughout Central Texas,” said Lidia Agraz, Vice President of Public Affairs. “Our customers ask for the latest in programming, and we think G4 will be a huge hit with anyone who’s a fan of online, video, or computer games.”

Gaming fans will love G4 because it’s dedicated to creating a lifestyle brand that is the source of news and information about video, computer, online, and wireless games. G4 also features celebrity players (such as No Doubt and Cypress Hill) and hosts (like Will Wheaton of Star Trek: The Next Generation), behind-the-scenes looks at game developers, and a wealth of other programming to satisfy even the most competitive gamer.

In order to accommodate G4 onto our Digital lineup, on December 30 Time Warner Cable will move The Science Channel from channel 238 to 237.

Yeah, i had Sega Channel too, it was cool getting to play all those games, though it was tough not being able to save your games. I used to play Shadowrun and some pirate game all the time.

Can you get G4 in Houston? If not, then I need to transfer to UT because we certainly don't get it in College Station. Did you guys know that one of the girls who hosts a show on G4 was one of the Fook twins in Goldmember. I think her show is called filter.

hahahahhahahahahahaha they used Wil Wheaton and celebrity in the same paragraph. Hat eto tell whoeve ris in charge of that press release announcing Wil Wheaton as a cel;ebrity guest is not a good thing. Even many Star Trek fans think he was terrible.

Really? I thought most of the fans were pissed that he left in the first place. My sisters were big fans of his in the 80s and I remembered him in Stand by Me. I heard him on the radio a few months back, he is one funny person. His commerical on TNN was hilarious also. Sucks that his part in Nemesis was cut. :(

I have the g4 channel on At&t Digital Cable...

Overall it's ok, but I can't just sit there and watch it for too long...

It seems to have an x-box fetish...
