He has no intention of being open-minded about any possible situation where a team would claim him off waivers unless it’s a team he chooses himself. Buyer beware.”

Ri-damn-diculous. I keep thinking about how the NBA screamed the last year about how they needed more competitive balance, now everyone is rumored to be going to the Heat, Lakers or Knicks and agents like this are threatening the small market teams that might make a claim if he gets amnestied.

Glad that new CBA took so long to hammer out.

There's no way this kind of bullying works. Could an owner theoretically put in, say, $1 just to c-block him from going to Miami? Or I guess it has to be league minimum, which I have no idea what it is for a veteran like Billups under the new CBA?

Putting aside his millions, you have to feel bad for the guy. He's been traded like 9 times and he doesn't suck.
