    Cap space for next year doesn't matter. Howard is going to be traded. He isn't going to give up all that cash just to become a free agent.

    We should try to get the Lakers to take Thabeet with their Vujacic exception. The trade would then clear about 9 million in cap space.

    Scola, Martin, and Drogic are a high price to pay for Gasol.

    Now if the Rockets have Nene ready to sign... And they are trying to clear cap space, maybe such a move might make more sense.

    But on the other end, you have just strengthened the Lakers a whole bunch.

    It's the part I can't get over right now. I know Morey won't do anything unless it helps the Rockets, but it's absolutely bizarre that we would help bridge this for the Lakers. We're the #$%^ing Houston Rockets... we don't help the Lakers with their next Magic-Kareem, Kobe-Shaq pairing..

    How is it that in the outlined rumored proposal we are giving the Hornets everything they need to be satisfied in a Chris Paul deal... and we're not getting Chris Paul.... and the Lakers are!

    I'm not super angry ... it's just bizarre. I'm sure there's more to it.

    well its either that or let some other team get paul and us get nothing? I mean there has to be a reason we arent getting paul...maybe hes told that he wont sign with us...and new orleans told us so we would help send him to la?
