Better option that Clemens. Who cares how many times we've worked him out or how long it took to sign him.
I still stand by this: yates will not be starting for us come playoff time...or week 15 if he craps the bed vs cincy
What? Not necessarily... I guess he's our immediate future, but there's no indication that he's heir apparent to Schaub... Plus Schaub still has a good amount of gas left in the tank, provided this injury doesn't become overly troublesome.
We need to go WR first round this year, i'm afraid AJ is starting to become injury prone. If not wr then cb to replace the piece of trash kareem jackson is.
Good, Clemens is terrible and can provide no teaching to Yates at all. Jeff Garcia is old and washed up but he has actually had a career and was quality at times.
So Yates has Kubiak, Schaub, Leinart, Dennison, Knapp, Delhomme, AND Garcia giving him advice now? Can a youngster be his own person?
I think this youngster is better at sorting info, and making it his own, than other youngsters. I take it as a plus.
I think this has nothing to do with Yates being our starter moving forward, and it has everything to do with giving Yates some solid veteran leadership behind him to help teach him along the way. Having Delhomme and Garcia learn and understand the system with him in those Quarterbacks meetings will only help his development as a player. I bet Kellen Clemens was like the kid in the back of the room who's still stuck on fractions when the rest of the class has moved onto long division.
