    I can't think of what's a worse tragedy: Hakeem's mother's illness or DD's stinky imprint all over the thread.

    If it was something overheard or picked up in a private conversation, then I think it should be treated as a personal matter and we should respect his privacy. But if this news was announced publicly at his mosque with him in attendance, then I don't really have a problem with this thread.
