Carwin may as well been a boxing bag out there. Question to the boxing purists, do you guys rate Junior's boxing?

Carwin's face looks disgusting. JDS is too technical for him. Can't wait for JDS vs Cain, will be epic x 20
I rate it pretty damn good but that's accounting for it as MMA adapted boxing e.g his stance to prevent being taken down or getting hit with knees and kicks.
Reliant Center is also under consideration (though it's unlikely)... http://cageriot.com/2011/05/ufc-eyeing-houstons-reliant-stadium-for-ufc-136/ Also, the UFC Fan Expo will be at the George R. Brown Convention Center on the 7th and 8th. I can't wait to see the rest of the card... I'll be snagging tickets later this summer, no doubt.
While Cain is the champ I actually think Junior has the better resume. 7-0 in the UFC with dominant wins over Werdum, Struve, Cro Cop, Yvel, Gonzaga, Big Country and now Carwin. Velasquez/Dos Santos is going to be insane. Cain's wrestling will be the big factor. Kongo rocked him 5 times but everytime he got hurt, his primal instinct was to wrap up Kongo with his wrestling.
Agreed, far more impressive resume. JDS' 1st RD TKO of Fab Werdum was VERY impressive... he also dismantled one of the heaviest-handed strikers in the business in Carwin, shattered Cro Cop's orbital bone en route to victory, and KO'd Gabriel Gonzaga in spectacular fashion. He's the real deal, but I wonder how he'd fare on his back with Velasquez raining down bombs. But, he rolls with the Nogueira brothers at Blackhouse so he's dealt with big-bodied brawlers. I'd probably put my money on JDS... he's just unbelievably athletic and technical for his size.
JDS' cardio wasn't tested in this fight. His cardio isn't horrible like Carwin's was, but I wonder how he'd fair against a Cain Velasquez onslaught. I had a feeling JDS would wint this if he could just stay up and pick Carwin apart, but wasn't sure if Carwin would have a problem taking him down or not. Carwin was done after that pummeling he took on that sequence in the first round. I wonder if his nose is broken or not - guy has a chin and a face. lol.
Epic card tonight. I was VERY happy to see the new comers put on some great shows, worth the $55.00. Carwin's face, that was NICE! If there's a card without blood it bloooows.
It looked like Shane would have knocked JDS down once in the 2nd but the cage saved him but I don't think it would have changed the outcome of the fight. Shane Carwin needs new trainers in the worst way. He was basically walking forward like a zombie (and shaking off damage like one too). A little boxing training would go a long, long way for him.
The entire fight card was awesome. Not a boring fight the whole night. It helped make up for 130 which was a night of TERRIBLE fights.
I scored the fight 30-25. I have no clue how a judge could score it anything more than 30-26....yet it was scored 30-27.
