    I was reading the article above and noticed a Footloose remake is due later this year. Do we need to make a thread about 80 movies remakes period. What other movies are coming soon which are remakes of movies less than 30 years ago?

    How bad do you think the new one will suck, if at all.

    All you have to do is wait 20-25 years for a whole new generation of young people who've never seen or heard something before. And you can repackage it with "updated" touches.

    Hollywood is being like community theater now. Like how Shakespeare is performed and reproduced all the time, now all movies are available for re-adapted versions.

    Isnt "Red Riding Hood" technically a remake of sorts? Interesting that they don't even care if something's a pop staple culture now, nothing's "sacred".
