    I just came here to post this. I am incredibly pissed off I never got to see them live! I LOVE the Stripes, it's Jack's best work. The RACONTEURS ARE NOT THE SAME AND NEITHER ARE THE DEAD WEATHER!!!

    Now I am still a big fan of the Raconteurs. Their last album was awesome. Dead Weather, not so much.

    God this really really sucks. And all signs seemed to point towards them coming back, or at least I thought. Not seeing them will always be a huge regret

    Raconteurs - Best band of this millennium

    Maybe because of Brenden Benson, maybe because of the Greenehorns rythmn section, maybe because Jack needs tempering in a band situation.

    i don't know, i think a lot of the white stripes output had too much of a demo feel, but that was by design. when they got it right, it was the unbridled energy that made them awesome. raconteurs are a little too tame for me. i still want jack to explode. we'll see what the future holds, he's got a lot of ability.
