What is the crowd like during the games? Just curious how the notoriously subdued Houston crowds are responding to some football.

The Dallas game was the loudest stadium I have ever been in. My friends have told me that the ESPN announcers said the same thing. The rest of the games have not been as loud as the Dallas game...but they've been pretty loud. This is NOT for people who like subdued crowds.

I went to the Rice-LaTech game last Sat, where there were only 20k fans there. It was pretty damn loud for 20k. I can't imagine how it is for 70k.

The Colts game was extremely loud. Louder than any UT game I've been to recently (and I've been to all of them minus 1 in the last 5+ seasons).

I've heard complaints from older fans that the stadium is too loud.

    I think that's a good thing!!!

By the way...subdued fans?? not for football in Houston. Remember "The House of Pain?" It was unreal loud in the Dome back in the early-90's.

me and my friends sit right side of the goal post front row, the people next to us along with our crew bang on the padding in the front....we finally complained enough and they put cup holders in for us lol....

Sometimes I think our side is louder than the Bull pen.

speaking of espn signs....We were told we could not hang our signs when Espn was hosting that game...so we took ours down and ripped theirs in half LOL......

Mcnair was standing 2 feet from us and laughed his butt off....

i agree!! i sit above you and i think that side of the field is much rowdier than the bullpen.

my only complaint is that my wife's seat and the seat next to her broke in the middle of a game!!! literally popped and fell out beneath her. i joked she was putting on weight...she weighs right at 100 lbs...i'm guessing it should have held her! the guys next to us were pissed...anybody know any lawyers out there? ;)

fortunately she knew i was joking...

so personal injury...i thought about jokingly handing my card to the guy next to her who fell...but decided that was probably not the best of ideas. particularly since i don't do personal injury work!

Season ticket holder here. Loud as hell where I sit in the nosebleeds.

Subdued? Oh you must be going to basketball or baseball games... Football has never been subdued in the state of Texas.

I refer to myself as The Texas Idiot. Surprisingly, I don't get many calls. :)

actually...they did come and bolt the seat back in at halftime.
