Rockets 5k run and 1k run for kids anyone?

    I've always known about this but I think this year I'm actually going to do it. 5K is what? a little over 3 miles? Not too bad at all.

    I've been the last 2 years. It's a lot of fun! The finish line is on the Rockets court and afterwards there is a party outside. They usually have papa john's pizza,fruit and drinks for everyone. Also there are usually some promotional booths giving away coupons for McDonalds Frappes and other items.
    It's definitely a good event. I do the walk with the Rowdies and we chant on the runners and walkers.

    If you're into 5k racing, I think there is some good competition that attends. There are awards given out by age group and gender.

    Any idea how good the seats are? i imagine they are the 10 dollar seats but I wanted to know.

    The seats are nosebleeds, but the price is right. :cool:

    I have run it lots of years, but not this year as it is one week before the marathon. I will be volunteering and on the Toyota Center floor, so I can keep a close eye on the RPD's. :grin:

    It is cool to be on the floor and sit in the seats the players sit in. Nice event!
