Heat, Blazers Granted Disabled Player Exceptions

    The NBA granted the Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers disabled player exceptions for the injuries to Udonis Haslem and Greg Oden, respectively, which will put the two players out of the lineup for an extended period of time.

    The exceptions are valued at half of the players' season salaries. In the case of Oden, the Blazers will receive a $3,380,262 exception. In the case of Haslem, the Heat will receive a $1,750,000 exception.

    Disabled player exceptions can be used for 45 days to sign or trade for a single player.

    Wouldn't matter. They wouldn't spend it because of luxury tax implications.
