    As somewhat of a response to the suckage of Christian Music brought up in the "Church with No Singing" thread..I thought it might be a good idea for a thread where people can introduce others to some faith-based music that they do like. I mentioned that I like Hillsong United in the other thread..but here are some other bands and artists I like:

    I can't believe you posted a Children 18:3 song!! i like the "Homemade Valentine" song
    THE DRUMMER IS HOTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they're all siblings.

    Glad to see they kind of made it.
    I saw them in the summer of 08 I think. It was a random concert in a small town in ND. They played with The Dizmas who are also a pretty decent Christian band. there were maybe tops 13 people there, 6 of those thirteen were myself and my younger cousins. I felt bad that they had to play for such a small crowd. We spent a good while trying to snap pics of the drummer.

    do you really like ALL of those?...or did you just copy & paste from a list of Christian artists? Didn't know you were that into this stuff. Next DFW viewing we'll have to talk about this stuff. I didn't listen to ANY christian music until I started working at Daystar - I thought it was all cheesy and bad, but I'm finding there are a lot of them I actually like. (still can't pay me to listen to DC Talk or Toby Mac though). I think many people see "Christian" attached to them and automatically dismiss them..thats why people artists like flyleaf and switchfoot try not to be overtly Christian - they don't want people to know until they've decided that they like their music. In regards to music, the "Christian" label has a bit of an unfair stigma attached to it.

    The new Newsboys with Tait....freaking awesome!

    I used to listen to all the secular garbage and I realized, what does this music do for me? Nothing.

    Christian music to me has a good beat to it and it comes along with a message for my life. Haven't looked back since.... :)

    My favorite song! "I'll be" by the Newsboys... song almost has same melody as "Free Fallin'" by Tom Petty.

    Drummer also does a little gig where he is strapped to the seat of the drum, and is mounted on a spinning wheel. Pretty neat. :
