Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Man I must be a hater, but this album is depressing. Mainstream hip hop is trash now, I mean everyone is hugging on Kanyes nuts and he's not the best rapper, which is obvious. The songs ive heard are annoying. I wish Kanyes would have stuck to just production instead of lowering everyones expectations of a good rapper.

Hip hop is dead.

In other news, Jay Electronica signed to Roc A Fella.

monster is an amazing track, so is runaway! overall the album is potentially my favorite kanyne record!

 

All I've heard so far is the song Runaway, which is superb.

"I'm so gifted at finding what I don't like the most." I really like that line for some reason.

 

going through the album the first time through right now; i love it.

excellent production, great melodies, and good lyrics so far.

Also, Kanye left Roc Nation a while back and some of the artists you named, like Wale and Mickey, are only managed by Roc Nation.

 

Well, Kanye was never on Roc Nation, he was on Roc-a-fella, which was with Dame and Jay. But since the split, Kanye is still on Roc-a-fella, presumably because it's under UMG and so is his label, GOOD Music. Or it might be a contract thing.

But GOOD Music is by far one of the best in terms of talent, you've got Common, Cudi, John Legend, Pusha T from Clipse, CyHi, Big Sean and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

 

Pretty sure Mos Def recently signed to GOOD Music.
