    i dont think im a geezer yet, but i love the doobies!

    i saw former guitarist, jeff 'skunk' baxter give a talk on the music industry a few sxsw's ago - he is also a contractor for the defense department who consults w/ them on weapons systems and such. he had this phone w/ him and before talking says "sorry, but if this phone rings i need to answer it - for my other job". sure enough, about 10 minutes in it did ring and he took it for a few minutes - didnt hear what he was talking about though, but it seemed important - top secret, james bond kind of stuff.

    and micheal mcdonald didnt ruin the doobies, christianity did!

    as I walked around my Grandather's ranch in Livingston today, I listened to Pachyderm by my friend Adam's band titled La Vérité. They are from Kent, Ohio.....

    I don't know his inspiration. I've never asked. I don't know if Adam has ever been to Texas.....but something about this track.....this entire freaking album screams Texas. The landscapes are so large......and sprawling...

    bleh. I'm either writing a novel or stoned...


    this is literally less than half of the track....(I think it goes for 24 minutes)
