Imagine how advanced we were in some ways to have had such a fast civilian airplane in 1969. It seems we've regressed nowadays with only trying to build lighter and more fuel-efficient planes that cruise at only 560 mph

Short-sighted executives for airlines only see the bottom line but don't realize if you throw money at engineers, they will find a way to have supersonic AND fuel efficient jets. [/Rant]

 

A really good friend of mine from high school got on ABC using off the shelf tech to launch a balloon into space and then take pictures from there. All in all it took about $150 dollars in parts to do it.
