Look you gotta be pro-active here in the tough West, sitting on your azz twiddling your thumbs and making calculations won't do squat.

How do you know Morey isn't doing anything?

For all we know, he's probably netting us Melo as we speak.

I agree. I think he committed to Utah tonight because an offer wasn't coming from Houston.

that is a common mistake because morey offered him no money. the offer however was just an opportunity to get out of the state (or city) of utah.

My guess is he wanted Morey to drive a caravan to Fesenko's house.

I'm still confused. If retaining him is a high priority for Utah then why wouldn't Fes sign Houston's larger offer and assume the Jazz would match?

He IS worth a 1st round pick. Every time i see him in a televised game i swear he goes like 9/12 from the field and just does everything right. Hopefully we could get him from the Nuggets.. perfect insurance to Yao.

Process of elimination, good. If it was a formality that Fesenko would re-up with the Jazz, might as well remove him off the list of possibilities early as possible and concentrate on the other realistic options.

Likely because he wants to be an unrestricted free agent next season.

Utah...a horrendous place to live, with a horrendous team to support. Bless his heart.

i dont know...i wasnt implying you were incorrect, maybe stein just rushed to post it, i just know someone had to be wrong....i guess it's possible both figures were lower than he expected/wanted, but houston offered more years and he thought he could instead play with utah one year, raise his stock, and sign a deal that not only makes up the difference for this year but would give him more for the second year as well.

That's the only thing I can think of _if_ an offer from Houston was really there. Usually guys on the end of the bench look for the longest contract they can for the most money.
