    I know it may be far fetched but if they go 19-10 the rest of the way they finish at .500......

    Do you guys think they can do it?

    I say Yes, the pitching staff has transformed this team from a lousy squad to a decent/good one. They aren't facing many contenders in September so the chance is there.

    Actually, it depends, if we get a top 15 pick then we can actually sign a decent FAgent without losing a 1st rd pick but if we finish in the bottom half then we would lose the pick and for a team trying to build through the draft that's not good.

    Saying all that, I doubt we sign anyone worth a type A status so it may not be as important like you stated.

    At this point, as long the Astros finish ahead of the Cubs, I'm happy.

    Looking at the schedule, Cincy and LA are the only teams above .500 so they may have a good shot at .500 :)

    It sucks hoping for the Astros to just reach .500. Around 5 years ago we were close to World Series champs. Oh how the mighty have fallen..

    If I counted correctly: The Astros need to go 17-9 to get to 0.500, and since they were swept by the Brewers, losing 2 games because Linstrom pitched hurt, they have been exactly 17-9.

    On top of that, the schedule is easier for this 26 games than the last 26 games.
