Hey guys, I'm visiting Houston and I'm under 21. I booked the hotel from Priceline but failed to see that it said you needed to be 21. I've done a fair amount of research after I saw that and most people said it wasn't a big deal, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this in Houston. I know it's my fault, but if they give me a problem can I just act dumb, I really have no other place to stay for the night other than the place I already booked. TIA.
I booked a lot of hotel rooms in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, when I was 18-20 and never had a problem.
And to give some more information, I'm over 18. The only issue is that this hotel specifies it in their website. I also can't get a refund since I did the Priceline Price Negotiator...
You could probably get a room at the Downtown Y for relatively cheap; or a hostel in the museum district area.
Yeah most hotels specify 21+ on their websites. I did this 12+ times, at least 4 times alone when I was 18, and at hotels across all price ranges. You will be fine.
Number one they aren't going to check. Number two they don't care as long as you aren't throwing a party in their hotel. They would rather have your business than to deny you when you get there. Don't sweat it.
