If Owen Daniels wasn't coming off of a torn ACL, he would probably be ranked higher.

Position rankings are fun to look at and all but they don't really help you get anywhere. Gotta have tier rankings at the very least.

bengals defense isnt in the top 10? weird...i suspected palmer wouldnt be in top 10 for QB's since we ran so much last year. might change this year, with the receivers we got and gresham at TE, i can see palmer having way better numbers.

I've been making a draft list in my head since the super bowl ended. Can't wait till preseason starts.

No Vincent Jackson on WR's is kind of surprising, and thought Desean would be top 5 though, those in front of him do make good cases of being there.

VJ being out the first 3 game affects his rankings on all of the lists I've seen.

    I disagree to an extent.

The Jets pound the football and Greene is the primary back. I know LT is there, but I see him as more of a 3rd down type back when they need to get the ball outside.......IF, he has anything left at all.

The Chargers like to throw the rock around, and if you are playing in a PPR league then I agree he would have a lot of value. Otherwise he will have decent rushing numbers, but I do not see him getting the amount of carries Greene will........nor do I see him matching or exceeding his productivity.

I agree he should be ahead of Charles, whom was a replacement back who stumbled into a starters role. I would not be surprised to see him lose his spot to Thomas Jones by week 3.

Charles had some pretty nice games down the stretch if you didn't happen to notice.

    He's got the jets.

But I'll take all 3 of them over Mendenhall.

Yes, I did notice. Down the stretch (last 4 games), he rushed for 100+ yds in each......against who???

Buffalo- 143 yards (Ranked 30th vs Rush)
Cleveland- 154 yards (Ranked 28th vs Rush)
Cincy- 101 yards (Ranked 7th vs Rush)
Denver- 259 yards (Ranked 26th vs Rush)

If he did it vs Pitt/Baltimore/NYJ/Houston, it would have held more weight. Don't get me wrong, the Cincy game was impressive but he did not do much outside of those last 4 weeks against below average defenses.

IMO, Pitt will be leaning heavily on Mendenhall, considering Big Ben will have the first 4 weeks off.

259 yards is nothing to scoff at. Jerome Harrison's 286 was nice too, but I'm more worried about Montario Hardesty poaching his scoring than I am about Thomas Jones, plus... the Browns offense is horrific anyway.

I have limited faith in Pittsburgh's offensive line, Mendenhall will face 8 in the box more often that not, even probably when Big Ben returns. I have a lot of confidence in Mendenhall's abilities, but at this point I'd take Charles, Shonn Greene or Ryan Mathews ahead of him.

Unless Mike Wallace really steps up and proves Santonio Holmes was expendable, I don't see Pittsburgh being anywhere near an offensive juggernaut. I am never sold on Pittsburgh RBs being fantasy studs in the Top 10 range. I'd take Mendenhall only as a value pick as a 2nd RB if he happened to slide.
