i was in toys r us the other day with my son...they have all new masters of the universe toys...they had a castle grayskull and everything...

which reminds me of a great story...one of my youth pastors in high school had this really old clunker car...and he used wire to tie in the front of castle greyskull on the grill of his car...it was so freaking funny!!!

    They have the new figs...

...but Toys R Us also has the original figures, repackaged into collectorss edition box sets.

    Those are much cooler.

    Supermac34 is right...

I have returned from Toys R Us empty handed... :(

    Here is my story:

I walked in, looked around and couldn't find them. I walked all through the action figure sections with a sad look on my face... than i turn a corner and see He-Man... but wait, He-Man was anorexic! He wasn't the bulky man I remember from my childhood.... rather he had long sinewy muscles (a la David Robinson and Scottie Quittin') and his face was defintely anorexic! It was too small for his body... They had him, Man-at-Arms, Skeletor, Battle Cat, Panthor, and Castle Grayskull. They also had an upgraded version of He-man that made sound and came with a video. I was tempted to buy that version just for the video, but after looking at the anorexic body of He-man, I couldn't bring myself to do it! They're pretty cheap at $8.99 per action figure and $12.99 for the special edition with the video. Battle Cat and Panthor were $14.99

Than my eyes scan to the bottom shelf and I see the collector's edition of He-man, which says "For Adults"... it was a prepackaged box with the original characters! I went nuts! It had the actual He-man, Skeletor, Man-at-Arms, Mossman, and Zodac in their original packaging with those tiny comics they used to come with! I had the last one in my hands! Than, I look down at the price... $70.00... ahhhh!!!! first thought in my mind: "WHY DON'T I HAVE A JOB!!!!!" sadly, i couldn't shell out 70 bucks for childhood memories! I was devestated!

But, I had my digital camera just for such an instance. I was lining up a picture of the characters when suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder... I thought "who on earth knows me at Toys' R Us at 10am on a Friday????" I turn around and its the store manager reprimanding me and tossing me out of the store! I pleaded with her telling her I just wanted one picture, but she put her foot down and asked me to leave!

    :(

Why wouldn't they let you take a picture? I guess you could have bought it, taken a picture, and then returned it. Would that have made the manager happy?

hey, does anyone remember when they tried to do a new He-Man before and tried to update him?

I remember it was a skinny he-man instead of a bulky one, and I believe it was set in space(though I'm not sure about that).

I never saw it, but I remember the toys and some crappy commercials for them.
