INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Lakers signed free-agent guard A.J. Guyton on Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed.

Guyton has averaged 5.7 points and 1.9 assists in 78 regular-season games with Chicago the past two seasons.

The 6-foot-1 Guyton was drafted 32nd overall by the Bulls in 2000.

He averaged 19.7 points as a senior and left Indiana as the school's career leader in 3-pointers made and attempted (283-of-684). He was among only five Hoosiers to score at least 2,000 career points.

Keon Shmeon, we just picked a great player of our own.

    :D

The balance of power has shifted even further to the West now.

AJ was pretty good in college so thisdmight not be such a bad move. He's better than Shaw at least.

PS: I hate Kobe Bryant :)

I'll forgive you for this one panda. Being from a foreign country you might have had trouble locating the sarcasm in this thread.

OK then, I'll recant. AJ Guyton is going to lead your team to 73 wins (league record), while four-out-of-five of your starters are out for the season... ;)

And how is Guyton any different than Shaw? Better shooter I guess. Another scrub on a championship roster...

I thought AJ Guyton was white, had a unibrow, and played on the Michigan State championship team.

OMG somebody please tell me why I'm thinking this. I just remember watching MSU and seeing a white shooting guard with disturbingly thick brows. Who am I thinking of? Google won't pull up anything. Am I imagining it?

    Um..ok. How about this one.

A.J Guyton will no doubt turn out to be the next Avery Johnson. Being a scrub everywhere but steps up as the floor leader for the Lakers.

    Go the next AJ!!!

I was going to say he was the next Bobby Jackson, who will turn it on off the bench and infuse the team & fans with his energy. But I guess AJ will do too. :D
