What is good techno music?

detroit techno is the true techno imo. a lot of the vids posted here border on trance, pop techno, progressive house, breakbeat/bigbeat, and crap(rockets theme song).
see saintja2's post for a bit of what i mean as true techno.

it's like if someone asked what is good country and everyone replied Billy Rae Cyrus. or what is good hip hop and everyone said Vanilla Ice.

a lot of ppl need to really like electronic music in general to have a taste for techno. and a lot of techno needs to be mixed by a DJ. it isn't like something you really want to sit down and listen to 12 minutes at a time from beginning to end. you really have to go to a party or club when a good DJ is there. none of those Roxy dress to impress places. i dunno what clubs are around havent been back to houston in 6 years. but tokyo rocks.

if you don't like any of these then you probably just don't like techno or anything labeled techno.

This is all dance music, not techno. Basic rule of thumb is that if it got vocals, lyrics, and a chorus, it's dance music.
