That's not really surprising when you see some guys who they are playing heavy minutes:

Bill Walker - At one time was supposed to be the next Jordan. Didn't care for playing team basketball or to work on his shot.

J.R.Giddens - Athletic Talent, bounced around college. Attitude problems, bar fight where he got stabbed etc., bad life skills in genereal. it's a miracle he even made in in the NBA in the first place.

Toney Douglas - Rep before the draft: bad DECICION maker, bad PASSER, bad SHOT SELECTION

Danilo Gallinari - 21 year old raw Italian kid, can shoot but no where near ready in other aspects

Al Harrinngton - Once promising powerforward. Playing with bad teams, he has somewhat regressed to lazy, 3-chucking powerless forward. Looks to be about 45 years old as well.

Duhon - Washed up if we ever even was anything useful

McGrady - I think we know this one...

    D'Antoni - Can't coach defense

So basically, David Lee is the only player who you can count on playing hard (or good). The others are just misfits or washed-up guys on the last leg. I would say that they are actually playin quite well, I expected a total meltdown personally.

Yeah, back when OJ Mayo was supposed to be a surefire number 1 pick and the next Lebron (before the one and done rule). Some scouts still considered Walker to be more talented.

To be fair to Walker though, he blew his knee in the fall of his freshman season so maybe things could have gone differently for him without the bad luck.

I remember him and Mayo being hyped up in high school as teammates. I didn't know about the Jordan comparison. I was surprised that they didn't go to the same college. Walker was forced to go to college a year early since he lost high school eligibility so that might have had something to do with it.

I agree with you on the knee injury , I think that is what hurt his stock. He did pretty good with Beasley at K-State. I thought Walker needed 1 more year of school though. Good to see him getting a chance in New York since he was glued to the bench in Boston.

How old is Walker? I think that guy has some serious talent and potential - he just needs a solid coach and to get more playing time in. He can still be a solid contributor to a good team - obviously, not the next Jordan but he's got some game for sure.
