I don't know much about Jared beyond his stats but I recall reading this little article a while ago and thought you guys might be interested. jopatmc also started a thread on jeffries so merge this with his if necessary. I just wanted to get the info out there that he led the Knicks in +/- apparently and seems almost Battier-esque in his defensive contributions. Maybe he could actually help us out seeing as he is listed at 6'11"? What do you guys think?

i just realized this could be taken as a slightly homoerotic title...so i'll save Carl Herrera the trouble and say I have not look at jeffries' ass.

Yes I think people will be pleasantly surprised with this guy. He is batteresque with a little more size. He can play the 4 and he is an expiring next year. So the risk is minimal.

LOL! Jeffries does not have what it takes to become a true PF! This is a day of sorrow on Carl Landry's behalf and he will be miss! But then again we got K-Mart, we have something to celebrate!

Looks like Morey went out and got the Rockets their very own version of Eric Dampier...

Remember him? The 6"6 starting center who plays very good defense. Which I believe is a leading candidate for Rox Captaincy. So another defensive stalwart? No thanks.

Jeffries is garbage. Rockets fan here, living in NYC. I regularly attend Knicks games and witness first-hand Jared Jeffries' suckage.

He's a half-way decent defender, thats about it. He should have stayed at Indiana all 4 years.

i dont care, we got what we want, sometimes you have to get some bad contracts, but his contract expires so its all good. I also notice he can play 1 to 4 spot so it might be good for making match up problems but the main thing is we got 2 draft picks and jordan hill and martin baby!

Shoots a higher percentage from 3 pt range than Trevor Ariza.
