I realize what you are saying is correct. But thankfully Scola does get it done on the court.

conversing is different than writing. it's harder to speak a second language because you have to be spontaneous when talking. you barely have time to think of the correct words and string it into a comprehensible sentence. writing on the other hand, isnt. you could take the entire day to write something, proofread it, rewrite it again and make it look clean.

and from scola's interviews, he speaks english pretty good, he just hasnt gotten the accent down yet.

"Trades are going to happen. Thus, any moment the phone could ring and I could be told that the New York Knicks just traded for me and I have a flight out early in the morning (if this actually happens, I’ve officially jinxed myself)."

LOL. I appreciate the honest tone of the whole blog and the humor showing how he is coping with the uncertainty. Hope he isn't traded, but we will know soon...

I'd like to think Scola said this. He just said some similar stuff to Mark Berman in interview [during the 9 sportscast].

There seems to be a lot of people who just WANT this to be Scola who wrote this.

When I voted to rate this thread it was at 2.8 stars, but suddenly all sorts of people have rushed in feeling the need to "defend" this article and vote it up to 4.3 stars.

Strange. If we were putting money on it I'd bet it's not Scola, but I'm willing to be wrong.

I think they probably have a PR person there to help with the blog but the overall thoughts are Luis Scolas.

If you listen to a few of his interviews you'll notice that Luis's quite eloquent.

Spoke with Luis tonight, and he DID write it... But, for the record, he wrote it in Spanish and it was translated.

Bottom line, he is saying, its a business and someone gets traded. Just the way it is. That he has played for the rockets for 3 seasons, and every year someone gets traded, but he is not hinting at anything. Just that in any business, change happens. Thats all...

I will run the interview tomorrow on my show, somewhere around 1:30pm...

    Just FYI...

    So the question becomes:

WHO did the translation for him??? Someone in the States?? Or people at sina.com??? ;)

Don't know if coaches can be traded in the NBA, but the Oakland Raiders traded their coach, John Gruden, for 4 draft picks and 8 million to the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2002.
