I heard he dropped a hundred pounds and I thought he lost a bet at the British Open... I was wrong.

    Daly just Tweeted (?) this:

To ALL my Fans---my financial situation is putting me where I cannot focus on my game, I'm putting too much pressure on myself, the few sponsors that I have are great but it's not getting me thru these times--i want to thank my fans throughout all these years & I don't like to continue to embarass myself-- maybe my mind may change down the road but right now i don't have the money to be on the tour. My game has never been the same since my rib injury during the Honda Classic in 2007. God Bless! JD

I think John Daly would make a killing post career by renting himself out to parties where he would entertain guests by belly flopping into a swimming pool. He could charge like 50k per house party so some rich oligarchs would get their jollies.

There are probably 500 kids under the age of 30 in this country that can beat him like a drum. Nobody wants to be the sideshow clown.

That being said he will probably still be around some since he still draws galleries and is in demand as a pro-am partner.

Let's not forget that in one special way, he's the Greg Oden of pro golf. He will be okay.
