    I have several old hard drives that I want to trash. Where is the best place to get rid of them securely and safely?

    I would wipe them first before you throw them away. I watched some show a couple months ago that stated that most of the US's e-waste goes to third world countries in Africa, like nigeria, where they scavange for parts and access HD's that are not wiped.

    Staples recycles them and wipes them to DOD standards.
