    It's just a matter of tempering the comments. "What a bum" maybe could be followed with, "Hopefully it's just nerves, he IS a rookie..."

    "What a bum" on its own obviously brings out the fight in people.

    i was wondering why a thread titled "jared jeffries in the summer league" had so many posts on it.

    and now an important news bulletin:

    JJ game # vs. magic
    10 pts
    5-8 FG
    8 rebounds
    4 assists
    1 block
    1 steal
    2 TOs

    jeffries must have seen that you called him a bum, rezdawg. if he keeps improving like this, he'll be rookie of the year. ;)

    He has gone from 2 points to 6 points to 10 points. In a couple weeks, he'll be averaging about 30 points a game. Not too shabby.

    Kwame Brown averaged 15 ppg in the summer league and was all league for it last summer.

    His play in the NBA was basically pointless.
