I know 'favorite video game' threads are a bit redundant, but I just rebuilt my small MAME library which I forgot to backup. I wanted to see if I'm forgetting any games or passed some classics up back then.

I'm particularly asking for 90's games because those were my arcade-going days I'm not too fond of the really old games like Frogger or something like that. But if anyone has some must-have 80's games then I'm all ears. I'm also up for this decade's games, but obviously things changed and the arcade died out.

Here's a list of games I've got so far, I'm obviously a fighting game junkie:
Dungeons & Dragons Shadow Over Mystara
    Final Fight
    Garou
GI Joe (seemed obscure back then, but really fun)
    Killer Instinct 1 & 2
    King of Fighters 98, 2002
    Macross
Marvel vs Capcom and every variant involving the Marvel license
    Metal Slug series
    MJ's Moonwalker
    Mortal Kombat II
    Ms. Pac-Man
    Rastan
    Samurai Shodown series
    SF2 series
    Terminator 2
    The Simpsons
WWE Wrestlefest (the Ultimate Warrior days)
    X-Men (side scroller)

And BTW, I just found out Street Fighter 3: Third Strike is playable on MAME. Incredible.

Side-scrolling fighter junkie and no TMNT?!!!!

    Let's see,
    Stuff you didnt list...
Early arcade games that I remember (either late 80s or early 90s):
    TMNT
    Golden Axe
    Superman
    Gauntlet
    NBA Jam
    Virtua Fighter
TIME TRAVELER (this 3d/hologram game was the f'ing bomb!!!)
    Pit Fighter

    Late 90s:
    Early Tekken games
Time Crisis I (could break every speed record)
    Area 51 (knew every secret)
    Virtua Cop

    Edit:
Video of Time Traveler... given i was like 10 when I played, this was pretty sweet.

If you like shooters, the Strikers 1945 series has some nice graphics.

If you can find the coin op version of Punch Out, that's a keeper.

I was referring to one on one fighting games like Street Fighter 2. But good call on TMNT everyone, I knew I forgot something. Also NBA Jam.

And I'm a bit disappointed tinman, I thought you'd mention at least one kick ass game I've been missing out on.

D&D Shadow Over Mystara is the best Capcom side scroller IMHO, so I passed on some games people have mentioned.

that old game where you'd basically be driving around a tiny micromachine type car with a steering wheel, doing 3 or 4 laps.. and you could use 3 nitro boosts per round unless you picked some up on the track. Oil slicks, etc.

and then you could build up diff parts of your car w/the money you won..

plus all the stuff others have mentioned

    tmnt
    sf2
    xmen
    golden axe
    nba jam

    Mortal Kombat

    Primal Rage

    Lethal Enforcers

    NBA Jam

There was this frisbee like game I used to play all the time but cannot quite remember its name.
