Well this is just great. We lose out on Martin and Swift and get left with Mihm and Fizer? Yikes, no thanks.

What are the chances of Vancouver being r****ded 2 years in a row? Thats the only way we are guaranteed Swift or Martin. And taking Miles with the 3rd pick isnt worth giving up all that we have to because I think we can get him with the 5-8 range, but not good enough to slip to us. Give me any responses you guys can give me. Do we go by way of Free Agency now? I dont have a clue what the Rockets are gonna do next, but it doesnt look good as far as us getting Swift.

From the looks of it, the top 2 picks are going to be Kenyon Martin and Stromile Swift. I would be ecstatic if the Grizz would trade Swift to the Rockets but based on the article posted by JeffB in another thread, it does not seem likely. I cant blame them either, it is difficult to turn down a forward tandem of Swift and Rahim with a backcourt of Bibby and Dickerson.

I think the Rockets pretty much have to look into getting what they can at the 9th pick (Jerome Moiso?).

It happened once (with Frances), it can happen again (with Stromile). The Rockets can virtually relocate: South Vancouver.

While it might seem daunting to deal with the Rockets again, the Grizzlies came out well with Dickerson and Othella. Both teams did well in a somewhat forced situation!

The only problem is the Griz are under new management and ownership. Much like Dallas, I don't think Vancouver will be a pushover anymore and make horribble trades.

Nothing is bad about the #9 pick. We have a chance at B mill. and Darius Miles. Thoose playas are going to kick butt. We dont need a PF that bad we already have- T mass, Rodgers and KT. If Mass recovers we could have good deoth up in front.

Good luck trying to get Fizer at the #9 position. And if he were available at that spot, I'd be ecstatic.
