    Yup..definitely not mine! Don't even remember posting it! You could fill this thread with Carlin quotes. Many of which are a lot deeper then the one I must have quoted previously.

    I would like to suggest that it was <i>borrowed</i> from a popular song. No idea if the author of that song <i>borrowed</i> from an earlier source.

    One of my favorites as well. Very underrated; dense polyphonic orchestration, searing satire, and scorching guitar. But what do I know, I'm dumb all over.

    I can use a lot of quotes from Ghandi, But i will not mention them all, since i expect others to do it anyway.

    But one that was always stuck with me is this quote of Pieter Matthiesen (a writer) in his book "The Snowleopard":
    "The joy you get from a small piece of crap"
    If you have ever done a diet study of animals (like I did with Elephants) you understand the quote:D.
