Gaelic Football

    Has anyone seen this game? It's an odd combination of rugby, soccer and even basketball.

    The ball is round like a soccer ball. They do two kinds of "dribbling"-- once in a while they bounce it off the turf and some other times they kick it to themselves (like dribbling a soccer ball in the air).

    The forward passes seem to have to be thrown underhand, but sometimes they serve it like an underhand volleyball serve. I even saw some backdoor plays.

    They can kick goals like soccer or field goals like football or Australian Rules football.

    Oh, and they seem to call the playing field a "park."

    Ye ive watched a little bit of it. At the end of every year the best AFL players play the Irish team in a series. Its always brutal, very violent usually. Its a good game to watch. :)

    nice game, but the lack of tackling is just bizarre when compared to our national past time in australia

    A guy on my Ultimate team also plays Gaelic football. He's always getting hurt.
