    Its august 7th 2009 and I'm currently looking out at the moon. Which is full and bright btw....anyway there's a big bright dot right under the moon...its brighter than the north star!!

    I live in houston by the way...just in case other countries can't see it but its so bright

    Nothing in the news..

    Nebody got a telescope????

    I just saw it, that is the brightest star I've seen in a long time.

    Wonder what it is.

    1999 party over ooops out of time. Anyway I can't see the moon where I'm at all I see is an airplane flying by. Can you take a pic.

    well, i'm in Arkansas, go outside, look at the moon, and do see a very bright looking star near the moon. Probably wouldn't think anything of it if you hadn't made this post, tho.

    Pretty cool, I'm also seeing some star almost 180 degrees from there that's mad twinkling.

    I went out and checked it out right now. Uranus makes sense, a star would twinkle and that doesn't. Didn't look red to me, just very bright.

    It's Jupiter. Uranus is very very (very) dim.

    Actually guys i was watching the NASA channel last night and they started talking about this. They confirmed that it's the Death Star.

    I would have used a tripod to keep it steady, but it's packed up. It should be just one light from what I saw.
