    I have seen tons of jokes on cargo shorts and jorts so I am just curious what kind of short can I wear and not be an exile?

    Not elastic band basketball shorts either.

    If you are uncomfortable wearing khaki shorts, why not just stick to pants?

    Just normal khaki shorts without the cargo pockets, and/or the plaid shorts are popular this time. Personally, I think cargo shorts are ok.

    But according to my fiance, no jorts...apparently im not 10 years old anymore :( ?

    Everyone wears cargo shorts. It's not like jorts or even in the same category as jorts.

    I though cargos were crap now. Thats cool. The problem is most shorts have the cargo pockets.


    I prefer pants but it is hot as hell outside these days.

    if you dont want cargo i suggest some dc shorts. i have grey pair and black pair both pretty sweet. i still wear cargo shorts to sometimes.

    First of all, wear what you like...don't worry about the opinions of others.

    I agree that jorts are horrible. Cargo shorts I think are fine.

    If you refuse to wear both, can't go wrong with non-pleated khaki shorts

    I don't give a crap what I wear and have no taste so why not just buy what will not make me like a douchebag if it is all the same to me.

    Just go with what you like. My mother used to dress me in head-to-toe JAMS before I had a say in the matter, and I turned out reasonably well-adjusted.

    Go buy a polo shirt, get a spray tan, cargo shorts, white shades, and wear your hat backwards.
