Great trade for us, but it would not happen.

If it was the Rice of 10 years ago it would be a good trade. I like you're thinking though.

i bet cleveland would do it if they recieved maggette and or Q richardson. plus, they are going to stink it up next year for a chance at the LeBron James sweepstakes.

I can't take credit for the idea, it's just a rumour I heard. It doesn't look like a good deal for Cleveland but Andre Miller has already said he'd play elsewhere. They might as well get something in return by trading him.

It wouldn't be the 1st time Cleveland got hosed in a trade. I was born in Ohio, and remember some crazy things that organization has done.

How about this? Switch around the draft picks so it isn't so heavily weighted in our favor...

    Houston
Trade: Glen Rice, Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, & the 15th Pick
Get: Lamar Odom and Tyrone Hill

    Cleveland
Trade: Andre Miller & Tyrone Hill
Get: Glen Rice, Mo Taylor, Jeff McInnis, 12th pick & 15th pick

    Clippers
Trade: Lamar Odom, Jeff McInnis, & 12th pick
Get: Andre Miller & Jason Collier

Hou – LAC – Cle trade part II

Here is a trade that would be beneficial to everyone and works on RealGM.

    Houston trades:
    Kenny Thomas
    Jason Collier
    Terrence Morris
    15th pick

    LAC trades:
    Lamar Odom
    8th Pick
    12th Pick

    Cleveland trades:
    Andre Miller

    Houston receives:
    Lamar Odom

    LAC receives:
    Andre Miller
    Jason Collier
    Terrence Morris

    Cleveland receives:
    Kenny Thomas
    8th pick
    12th pick
    15th pick

Houston’s reasoning: They get Lamar Odom to go with Yao Ming. Houston really does not need another season with possibly two starters as rookies if they intend to make a serious run at the play-offs. This move also makes both Francis and Cat happy while giving the team an immediate impact player.
    Houston’s line-up:
    Francis / Moochie
    Cat / Oscar
    Odom / Walt
    Griffin / MoT
    Yao / Cato

LAL’s reasoning: They get the perfect point guard that does not make many mistakes to go with the ultra young and athletic team. Andre is a player that makes an immediate impact for the Clipps and adds experience instead of youth for the second year in a row. With TMo they get someone that can back up Miles at the three or play along side Miles if they decide to slide Darius to the 2. They also get a legitimate seven footer as insurance in case they can not resign Kandiman but with the addition of Miller Kandi should be a lot easier to sign. Collier can also back up Brand. This makes LAL much better and incredibly deep.
    LAL’s line-up:
Andre Miller / Jeff McInnis / Eric Piatkowski
    Quinton Richardson / Corey Maggette
    Darius Miles / TMo
    Elton Brand / Collier
    Michael Olowokandi / Collier

Clevelands reasoning: They loose one of the best point guards in today’s NBA but they do not appear to be close to contending for a play-off spot with out some major changes in the team. With this trade they gain a very good PF in Kenny Thomas (possible all star in the east) along with three very good first round picks in a very deep draft. With the picks that they would be receiving they could come out of this draft with Wagner, Jefferies and Rush. They would all be rookies but all should very good NBA players. Imagine if either Wagner or Butler fell, they could end up with Wagner, Butler and Jefferies. If they don’t want to commit to 4 first round picks this year then they could draft a Jeri Welsch or Bostjan Nochbar with the 15th pick and let them play in Europe this year. Here is a team that could become very good in a couple of years, especially if Diop ever matures and turns into a real NBA center.
One of many possible Cleveland line-ups:
    Dujan Wagner
Caron Butler / Person / Jeri Welsch
    Jarred Jefferies / Butler
    Kenny Thomas / Mihm
    Illgauskas / Diop

O.K. there it is feel free to shoot holes in it but I really think that all the teams get some very legitimate value while making very good changes to the team.

    edited for the following
    ??????

Might as well throw Cato into the mix as well.

This trade blows for the Cavs and Clips.....

This trade makes sense, seen Clevland is looking to rebuild next year.
