today was the last day of school so our whole school took a field trip to six flags great america (illinois) and we were having alot of fun. until...

there is this kid...his name is joe. we havent seen him since the sixth grade. in sixth grade he was a nerd he didnt have many friends and he moved to a diffrent school because he was getting picked on. so today, this kid SHOWS UP at six flags. now hes really tall, muscular, he was smoking pot the whole time and he was talking bout how he did coke. it was really scary what was wrong with this kid.

anyway, he starts following my group of friends. one of the best friends that is a girl that i have (not my gf but one of my good friends) a good friend of mine and a friend of mine, he came up to us. so hes standing there talkin bout how he does coke and stuff, and me and my buddy well call him winston, we get the idea to run away because this guys scaring us. we turn our backs and run when hes not looking. suddenly, a minute later im like 'omg, we forgot maggie(the girl)'! oh my god! we had left her with that freak! so we started looking for her and a half hour later we found her with a group of girls. so she gets really mad at us, we go away for bout an hour to let her cool down, and we come back and get her to forgive us. BUT she still seems kinda mad even after she said sorry and we spent the day with her she still seems a little angry. we were genuinly sorry and if we could go back in time we wouldnt have left.

do you think she should be as angry as she is/was? we left her with a druggie, true but she split off from him two minutes later and we were looking for her everywhere after we realized what we had done. i think she should have been mad but not as mad as she was...it was wrong, but it wasnt so bad and the kid never came back.

your thoughts, this has been on my mind since we got back and it is SO not cool...

well no, we had stopped to look at deja vu (sp?) which is pretty damn scary looking...anyway, me and my friend stopped and looked for a second and the druggie went a little bit ahead with our other friend and her. my friends like 'this is our chance' and we ran. and we want to graduate if were goin around getting into fights with cokeheads well get in huge trouble.

anyway, shes not mad at all today. she doesnt care anymore. still, it's amazing how people change...

Running like you did does not look good.

It makes you and your buddy a coward.

Damn, man, couldn't the two of you take him if it got to that point?

You and your friend made a mistake, and apologized for it. It sounds like "Maggie" was kind of upset that day but not after that... sounds about like what you would expect.

Too bad "Joe" turned out like he did. I know (from experience :( ) that being picked on in sixth grade is not a whole lotta fun. It may not seem like a big deal in retrospect, but everything is a big deal when you're that young, especially feeling like a loser when your class decides to single you out. Wondering why you couldn't have prevented it. I was angry and wished I could do all that rebellious stuff to escape (you know, hang out w/ the bad crowd, drink, drugs, screw around, everything your parents told you not to do), and I would have acted on it except I had a strong faith and belief system. Thank goodness. Unfortunately, "Joe" chose to solve his problems that way and it only made him worse off...

We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere, like the time I took the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heal for my shoe, so I decided to go over to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So, I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry costs a nickel, and in those days, nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them! "Gimme five bees for a quarter", you'd say. Now, where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. We didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get were the big yellow ones...

I've got some questions ;):

1.) Was he smoking pot at Six Flags in public? Or was he high?
2.) Was he picking on you and your friend?
3.) Why couldn't you just say something like "..good seeing you...we are gonna go ride this ride(or something) and walk off"?
4.) Was it because he was stalking you so he could intimidate you and not allow you to have a good time?
5.) Were you and your friend so scared because you and he picked on the guy in the earlier grades and you thought he knew that so he wanted to settle up?
6.) What do you think about the impression you left on him when you ran away?

That is all. thanks.

smoking pot at six flags.

2.) Was he picking on you and your friend?

no. just following us and telling us about his idiotic ways.

3.) Why couldn't you just say something like "..good seeing you...we are gonna go ride this ride(or something) and walk off"?

he would probably follow us. he was sayin stuff like 'we should go on this ride, we should go on that ride' like we were best friends.

4.) Was it because he was stalking you so he could intimidate you and not allow you to have a good time?

no we juss didnt want to hang around a cokehead all day...know what i mean?

5.) Were you and your friend so scared because you and he picked on the guy in the earlier grades and you thought he knew that so he wanted to settle up?

no i never really talked to that kid...he was just scary

6.) What do you think about the impression you left on him when you ran away?

he never approached us again. he doesnt seem like someone that would be dangerous to you its really just the fact that you dont want to be close to somebody who threw there life away. i have no clue what hes like i havent seen him in a long time and hed changed so much already...i have no clue.

Sounds pretty sad to me. It sounds like he's a little lost and was looking for some companionship. It didn't have to be you, and it didn't have to be at Six Flags, but I think you need to think of more creative ways to extricate yourself from a situation without hurting someone's feelings...even 'cokeheads' have feelings.

As for the girl, I can understand how she'd be pissed on many levels. You left her to explain why you two took off, she had to devise the elegant exit strategy that you ran from, and you left her with someone you considered 'scary'.

Then again, I wasn't there so maybe I would run away from the guy if I saw him too...;)

If a cokehead followed me around i would beat the crap out of him, i am an athlete so i dont wanna hang around someone that does coke. Besides that, him smoking pot in Six Flags in public is worse, i mean what would happen if you would run into a officer? Most likely he would think you are smoking pot with him.

How impressive.

...i am an athlete so i dont wanna hang around someone that does coke. ...

When did they become mutually exclusive?

BTW, which gets a stiffer sentence: possession of 1 joint or assault and battery?
