    Something cheesy is if you're into icebreakers (even if you're not, who cares) is offer her/him (the latter if you bat left handed) and regardless what they say , reply with something along the lines of "Oh ok, I was just trying to break the ice" or "Whew. Now that we've broken the ice".

    the easiest ice breaker that works every time is, "hey i noticed your *insert accessory*, what's the story behind it?"

    people love to tell your stories about themselves.

    You can also try talking with an accent. American girls dig that up. Only American, though. Other foreign girls could care less.
