    Easy here, it's only Basketball. As long as he didn't spend whole night smoking he'll be fine.
    Different story in combat sports though, sometimes I feel really sorry for those poor bastards spending 2 or 3 months in training camps, no decent food or sex whatsoever, just to fight for 2k/2k in an undercard...

    How insane would that be, it'd be like the NBA telling athletes what they can and can't eat. These guys may have trainers and special diets but you can't tell a grown man he can't smoke or drink, no one would follow such a rule.
