Does anyone know of a restaurant or company that will ship quality Tex-Mex meals around the country? I haven't found anything yet, and am hoping someone who moved from here has already figured this out.
I know someone that shipped Lupes to Connecticut on a regular basis. I could ask them how... but I probably wont.
My girlfriend would love to know as well, she's always complaining about wanting to visit Houston, just for some 'Mexican food'.
I would think the only way to do it would be to buy it yourself and package it for shipping with dry ice. I don't think anyone does it comercially or promotes it.
I think you're right, although I have seen that both Pappasito's and Chuy's say they are currently thinking about it. Per Pappasito's website: Do you ship food? Not yet, but we are currently researching the best way to provide this service to our Guests in the future. We only use the freshest ingredients in our food; therefore, many of the Pappasito's Cantina menu items are not conducive to shipping. and Chuys: Currently, we’re unable to ship any of our edible products, but it is something we’re looking into!
Ya she probably shipped it herself but maybe just asked the manager herself. They are pretty accommodating and friendly at the 59 location, I could see them doing it on a personal non-advertised special circumstance type basis.
