    Great win tonight.....really nice to get a victory like that considering how many close losses we've had recently. Finally, some clutch hitting late in the game.

    One reason I was optimistic about the season is I thought the Astros starting pitching would be better than most expected (or feared). Yes, names like Ortiz and Hampton aren't sexy but I figured they could give us 5-6 quality innings on a consistent basis. With that in mind, the "bridge innings", the 7th and 8th become HUGE. That has been a problem as we've been outscored 12-6 in the 7th inning so far (4-4 in the 8th). How the middle relief does in attempting to get the game to Valverde will play a large role into how this team does.

    Agreed about the middle relief, T Rex... Hawkins was great last year and looks good so far... Sampson can eat up innings... I also think Geary will bounce back.

    i agree on Geary. He was solid in Philly, but overworked.. I expect a bounce back

    Good win. I assumed we lost after I saw the dodgers take the lead in the late innings. Ot wasn't until just now when I saw the sportscenter highlights that I found out we actually won.
