In 04-05 we had the 3 point hand sign, I think this year, as a tribute to Deke, every good defensive play should have the finger wag in some way. We can never recreate it's awesomeness, but we should try as a tribute.

I wouldn't want that. The finger wag is Deke's, and I think that using in such a way cheapens it to a degree. Just go out there and win for him. That's all.

Favorite memories of Deke:

1. 1994, blocking Shawn Kemp 3 times and then, holding the ball at the end of game 5. If not for Deke, we may have been talking about 1 championship.

2. 22 game win streak. If not for him, maybe it's a 10 or 11 game streak.

3. All the blocked shots. Too many to mention.

4. Being honored by President Bush.

5. T-Mac's charity softball game. Deke hits it and doesn't realize you have to run to 1st base. Only Deke.

sad, sad end to a great career. he was instrumental to keeping the rockets lead during the game 1 victory, and will be sorely missed for this series and the rest of the playoffs.

I thought Deke was indestructible... he's Mt. Mutombo... I was hoping for him to play yet ANOTHER year for us... It's sad to see him go out like this.

Deke is much appreciated as a player and as a person... proud that he's a Rocket.
